In our first concert of 2020 the NQ Chamber Orchestra will feature the Majestic sound of the largest of the orchestral string family – the Double Bass.
Our soloist for this concert will be a guest bass player from Brisbane – Renn Hunt – who will perform the double bass concerto in A major by Édouard Nanny.
The majestic nature of the double bass concerto forms the inspiration for the remainder of the “Majestic Strings” program with works by Sibelius, Janacek, Purcell, and the contemporary composer Karl Jenkins.
The NQ Chamber Orchestra will again showcase the best string players in our region in a Majestic Concert not to be missed!
