MZAZA World Music Workshop for Singers and/or Instrumentalists

Learn a fun French pop song and an ancient Ladino song. Born in France and of Sephardic heritage, the awardwinning lead singer of MZAZA Pauline Maudy will facilitate an uplifting vocal workshop for beginners and experienced singers aimed at sharing technique and getting you singing quickly. If you play an instrument bring it along and John Robertson (on nylon string guitar), Greta Kelly on violin and shah kaman (Persian spike-fiddle), and Malindi Morris (darabuka and cajon) will teach you some Balkan beats and tunes which demonstrate some of the unusual rhythms and ornaments of world music. No need to be able to read music.
